The Kunstmuseum Basel invites visitors on a journey through art history from the 15th century to the present day at three locations. Masterpieces from the collection, high-caliber special exhibitions and programs offer the public multi-layered approaches to art. The museum's main and new buildings are located in the heart of the city - just a few minutes from the SBB train station, and a short streetcar ride from the Badischer Bahnhof train station.
The Kunstmuseum Basel | Gegenwart, dedicated entirely to contemporary art, is idyllically situated on the banks of the Rhine in Grossbasel.
