About the institution

Art, architecture and nature are harmoniously combined in the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. The building in the idyllic Berower Park was designed by architect Renzo Piano. The collection contains over 300 masterpieces of modern and contemporary art, including works by Picasso, Monet, Matisse, Cézanne, Giacometti - as well as Andy Warhol, Louise Bourgeois, Gerhard Richter and many more. The internationally renowned programme mounts three to four temporary exhibitions and presentations of the collection every year.
